Abstract
For the measurement of e-Government performance indicators, the national web portal (NWP) of a country plays a significant role. Bangladesh government took many steps for e-Government initiatives on ground and online which are not properly documented in the online version. The NWP of Bangladesh is not adequately enriched with e-Information and e-Services which may redirect a visitor to many ministerial, sub-ministerial and other corporate portals and sub-portals. Portals with no maintenance and service non-availability are some of the drawbacks of our e-Government mission of 2021. Promoting e-Services to citizens through NWP is the right approach. Additionally, in the perspectives of the technical and security issues as well as of easy access to the NWP, an immediate adaptation plan is necessary. In this paper, the authors attempt to explore on the NWP of Bangladesh on its many aspects.
