Abstract :
This paper describes a system for the automatic evaluation of algorithms (especially pattern recognition algorithms) over the Internet. We present the case for such a system, discuss the system requirements and potential users, and present an initial prototype. We illustrate usage of the system with an evaluation of image distance measures used for face recognition
