Abstract :
Summary form only given. In summary, we demonstrated the performance of a modified and Er-doped passively mode-locked fiber laser using a Faraday rotator mirror and a Sagnac loop reflector. We obtained passively mode-locked optical laser pulses of 480 pJ pulse energy and 500 fs pulse width. The time-bandwidth product is about 0.44 under assumption of Gaussian pulse shape. This means that the output laser pulses are nearly transform-limited.
