Abstract :
This paper introduces a single-phase rectifier, which presents the following features: unity power factor; regulation by PWM technique; ZVS commutation and clamping action in all converter switches; and instantaneous average input current control and output regulation. This converter consists of a single-phase three-level rectifier incorporated with a ZVS-PWM, buck-boost active clamping, boost converter. Experimental results are presented, taken from a designed prototype for 1.6 kW output power, input RMS voltage 127 V, output DC voltage 800 V and operating at 40 kHz
