Abstract
A methodology that addresses the problem of choosing optimal resistive elements for multiple mode shunt damping of a piezoelectric laminate is presented. The proposed method is based on the H2 norm optimization for the composite system, and is validated through experimental work on a piezoelectric laminated simply-supported beam
