Abstract :
The mode matching approach is applied to a rectangular waveguide containing a pseudochiral Ω slab. From waveguide measurements carried out over a few placements of the slab in the guide the constitutive parameters are extracted. The extraction is performed numerically by a algorithm minimizing the difference between theoretical and measured values of resonance frequency and scattering parameters. The field displacement phenomenon becomes visible by the frequency responses of the scattering parameters and E-field patterns. The measured and theoretical results show the resonance effects which may be applicable in design of bandstop filters
