Abstract
Two multithread FDTD algorithms have been developed, and their applicability to faster analysis of microwave engineering problems has been demonstrated. MS-FDTD is based on low-order spatial decomposition and subcircuit calculations on separate processors. MF-FDTD performs parallel updating of the three orthogonal field components. The algorithms have been tested on 2- and 4-processor PC, where speed-up factors of 1.5 and 2.1 have been obtained for MF-FDTD and 1.5-1.7 for MS-FDTD respectively
