Abstract :
Mapping of transmitted signal phase noise into amplitude spectra of a video signal in a frequency-modulated continuous wave homodyne radar with two-dimensional signal processing is studied for the example of an ideal stationary object and a free-running oscillator. Results of numerical simulations for a flicker FM noise-dominated source are given and discussed. Closed form analytical expressions for components of differential phase jitter are also given
