Abstract

The purpose of the road automobile communication system is to provide a total communication means to the running automobile. This report summarizes the optic systems of road automobile communication system. The paper first explains the optic systems for communication system in a tunnel. Then it defines optic systems for process automation of vehicle identification. When the above system configuration is established, a nation-wide total data communication system can be supported using a pair of frequencies. The development of the Slovak highway system has reached the point of crossing the mountain areas. The crucial point is a construction of highway tunnels. The security and safety requirements are expected to be fulfilled by an applied security and safety system.
