Abstract
Until now, arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) multi/demultiplexers have been fabricated based on uniform arrayed waveguide gratings with very sharp passbands. Consequently, they are sensitive to wavelength fluctuations of the laser sources. In this paper, by optimizing the waveguide lengths of the AWG, using a genetic algorithm, a nonuniform AWG has been designed with flat passband
