Abstract :
In this paper, a new simple low-frequency recursive digital sinusoidal oscillator with uniform frequency spacing is proposed and its performance is evaluated. The difference between any two adjacent generated frequencies is approximately constant. The proposed oscillator structure requires a single multiplier for its hardware implementation. In particular, the proposed oscillator utilizes a single multiplier multiple-output direct form digital oscillator along with a very simple switching and sign changing operations. Simulation results are presented to verify the analysis and demonstrate the performance measured in terms of total harmonic distortion
