  • Abstract
Hysteresis cellular automata are proposed and analyzed. Hysteresis cellular automata consist of a neural-type oscillator that is a dynamical system with a continuous time, discrete space, continuous state and discrete output. The hysteresis cellular automata can be regarded as continuous time versions of conventional cellular automata. We clarify that hysteresis cellular automata exhibit more rich phenomena than conventional cellular automata
