Abstract
Poles and zeros for sampled-data models of buck and boost converters are analytically derived. Both continuous conduction mode and discontinuous conduction mode are considered. The sampled-data model is compared with the averaged model. The two models have different number and location of poles and zeros. The different view from the sampled-data model does not necessarily invalidate the averaged model
