Abstract
A new retrospective method of spatial compounding is presented. Volunteer scans showed improved contrast to noise ratio, speckle noise variance suppression and enhancement of continuity of linear structures. Phantom experiments showed a reduction of speckle variance by 70.1% and an increase in contrast to noise ratio by 69.1%
