  • Abstract
This work proposes a low-noise amplifier for the acquisition of the cardiac signal in a pacemaker. The application calls for very low power, low voltage and highly integrated solutions. These targets are achieved realizing the amplifier as a class AB log-domain 2nd order band-pass filter, using pure CMOS 0.8 μm technology, with devices operating in weak inversion. The amplifier provides a programmable gain from 50 dB to 70 dB, presents an input-referred noise of 1.7 μVrms, dissipates at most 2.8 μW and is fully integrated
