Abstract :
Plastic Cell Architecture (PCA) realizes self-reorganizing systems within VLSI circuits. It provides a new paradigm for the creation of innovative information processing systems. PCA-1, the first prototype LSI chip on which PCA has been realized, is manufactured and tested to confirm the basic concept of PCA. This paper describes how to realize self-reproduction with PCA-1. Some experimental results and future perspectives are also outlined in this paper. We think PCA is a key device towards future adaptive telecommunication networks
