  • Abstract
The paper deals with the study of irradiation effects on the lithium metatitanate (Li2TiO3) ceramics. The simultaneous exposure of Li2TiO3 ceramics to H+, He+ and O2+ ions was found to cause the appearance of anatase layer on its surface. The formation of the anatase is thought to be due to the displacement damage and electronic energy deposition. The irradiation of Li2TiO3 ceramics by 30 MeV O4+ resulted in vanishing of grain structure near surface. This phenomenon is thought to be caused by the electronic energy deposition
