Abstract
A new multi-stage self-organizing channel assignment algorithm combined with a transiently chaotic neural network (TCNN) is proposed. The performance is greatly improved by progressively initializing a mutual inhibition technique that is based on the mechanisms of bristle differentiation. The simulation results show our proposed algorithm improves greatly performance, while the convergence rate iteration numbers are comparable to existing algorithms
