Abstract
There is growing interest in using wireless access systems to provide multimedia network services. We are investigating the technical feasibility of such a system. We present a new system providing high-speed wireless access between base stations and high-speed mobiles, such as cars. In the proposed system the base station has an array antenna and tracks mobiles using a new tracking algorithm. We have also developed experimental equipment to verify the proposed system
