Abstract
One unique feature has been demonstrated in the antisymmetric nonlinear coupler composed of one self-focusing core and one self-defocusing core, that is, power transfer does occur when it is excited by two input beams with in-phase and equal amplitudes. Optical limiting application of the antisymmetric nonlinear coupler is proposed. The limiting threshold and the limiting output is tunable
