Abstract :
The performance of polarization diversity at the handset is investigated for UMTS. The paper shows that polarization diversity can provide gains of at least 3 dB and that the configuration with two slanting antennas at ±45 degrees to the vertical performs 1 dB-2 dB better than the horizontal-vertical configuration
