            Abstract : 
We describe a novel all-fiber wavelength-tunable acousto-optic switch utilizing intermodal coupling in a two-mode fiber. Low loss (/spl sim/2 dB) operation was possible due to its all-fiber configuration with a fiber acousto-optic tunable filter and a mode-selective coupler.
