Abstract :
The requirements for increased product customisation and improved competitiveness in areas such as electronics and mechatronics have defined the need for developing reconfigurable assembly systems that can support a wide range of assembly processes and products over sufficiently long period of time. The paper reports on a collaborative methodology for concurrent design of customisable modular assembly cells
