Abstract :
A simple expression has been developed for the normalized current distribution and hence the scattered field pattern for a straight wire subject to an electromagnetic wave incident at arbitrary angle. Although the expression is approximate, the obtained current distribution and subsequent field pattern are generally in good agreement with results obtained by the sophisticated moment method
