Abstract :
An information retrieval system (IR system) collects documents, analyses the contents of the documents, and saves them in the form of a structure effective to search. The IR system provides the user with proper information. In Korean, predicates specify the meaning of nouns. Therefore, if predicates are used as index words in retrieval, the retrieval precision can be raised. In this study, the author implements an IR system using predicates as index words and interrelation by the relative distance of a predicate and a noun. He inspects an efficient storing structure of index words as well
