Abstract
The casing oscillator is a piece of construction equipment used to clamp, oscillate and push casings during foundation work. In cases where the casing oscillator is operated on slanted ground, if other heavy construction equipment is not used, it is impossible to insert casings into the ground using only the casing oscillator. This paper presents a new kind of casing oscillator that need not be on level ground to insert casings. This mechanism can execute 4 DOF motion by actuating 5 single-rod hydraulic cylinders. This paper presents an inverse kinematic analysis of the casing oscillator, and verifies the validity of the analysis through the use of an experiment
