Abstract :
This paper presents an extended airframe format in order to realize a flexible cellular configuration, under a severe frequency reuse condition, in particular using only one frequency. This extension can be easily applied to next-generation OFDM systems. Additionally, channel interference scenarios due to the peculiar cell structure of the proposed extension-the cells are deployed so that the direct-spread (DS) areas are overlapped-are discussed. The impact of the introduction of DS slots is also investigated
