Abstract
This paper proposed the grey relational analysis for discrete signal measurements that contains two aspects: an approximation; and a similarity measurements for specific sequences based on the shapes of geometric curves of sequences that originally are to be discrete time sequences or index sequences. An approximation measurement is used to differentiate how close they are between two the sequences. On the other hand, a similarity measurement is applied to discriminate how similar they are between two sequences. Furthermore, the proposed two methods are viewed as a type of quantitative measurements for sequences. Finally, the verification of these measurements was assured by means of examining two examples
