Abstract
Although power quality has been considered as a pure technical concern for long time, PQ monitoring is today proposed as part of the utilities marketing services. This paper reflects three different policies, proposed by Electricite de France, Electrabel (Belgium) and EDELNOR (Peru) and shows how, in those three different cases, permanent PQ monitoring was a rentable investment. It then develops the financial aspects from the utility point of view and shows how national regulator´s requirements can be fulfilled
