Abstract :
The authors´ main purpose consists in financially assessing, as practically as possible, the effectiveness of various power system reconstruction scenarios following extreme weather conditions. Since they have to study a wide scope of situations, and find out solutions for a small number of structures, the method has to be simple. They chose to compare damages brought about by a major incident in several cases, depending on the way the network is secured. Damages mean the amount of initially disconnected customers, and the total time needed to re-connect them. In this, the authors´ analysis focuses on MV power networks
