Abstract
The authors present a model for losses calculation in distribution systems, trying to make the model relatively easy to implement and accurate. The paper is intended for the staff working for distribution companies with high indexes of total losses, who must analyse technical losses in order to differentiate them from the total. The initial information requirement is quite basic, being able to start by using usual values from similar companies and gradually adjust their own indexes
