Abstract :
Multicarrier modulation techniques are finding growing interest for wireless local area networks (WLANs), as recent standardization choices, such as HIPERLAN type 2 and IEEE 802.11a, indicate. We present a carrier sense multiple access (CSMA) algorithm for multiuser bit loading in a multicarrier WLAN. CSMA is a common choice in WLAN networks and we will show that the proposed algorithm performs up to 50% better than conventional CSMA
