Abstract :
Electronic commerce (EC) over the Internet is a new way of conducting business and is growing exponentially. We believe that the expansion of EC is creating a series of risks that need to be addressed. For those who want to conduct EC, it is necessary to carry out a thorough risk analysis before implementation. Although risk analysis has been widely applied and used in the context of financial and engineering problems, it has seldom been adopted in EC development. A model of risk analysis in EC development using fuzzy sets is, proposed. The model assists EC practitioners and decision-makers to formalize the kinds of thinking required in assessing and understanding the current risk environment of their EC project in a more natural way
