Abstract :
We consider multisensor multiuser reception in a DS- CDMA system with a block fading channel. Especially, the use of a statistical technique called independent component analysis (ICA) as a post-processing tool for conventional array receivers is studied. By utilizing higher order statistics, ICA is used to find the multisensor multiuser receiver, in which the unknown variables, direction-of-arrival and chip timing, are implicitly estimated. The performance of such a receiver is discussed and compared to some existing ones
