Abstract
Design of control systems with discrete switches of their continuous dynamics has been receiving much attention recently as an important issue of control engineering. In this paper, a controller synthesis approach is proposed for switched systems with providing performance analysis of L2-gain of switched systems. Piecewise differentiable storage functions are utilized to derive linear matrix inequalities (LMI) for performance analysis and controller synthesis. State jumps of the controller responding to switches of plant dynamics are exploited to improve control performance. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the proposed synthesis method
