Abstract :
Extends the state-space generalized predictive control (GPC) algorithm to a practical case of multirate systems with fast input control and slow output sampling. Performance of such a dual-rate GPC algorithm is compared with that of single-rate systems and its advantage is established. Moreover, stability robustness of the dual-rate GPC algorithm under the closed-loop condition is studied when the sampling ratio is a variable. The results are illustrated with examples
