Abstract
The International Research Centre for Telecommunications-transmission and Radar (IRCTR) as a research institute sees the challenge to be prepared to facilitate research in these new frequency ranges. For that reason, with help of the Dutch Technology Foundation STW, a sophisticated millimeter wave laboratory-has been realized and became operational mid 1999. Besides the installation of hardware facilities, a software environment for the development of high frequency components and systems also became operational
