Abstract
A study of solar radio emission in the mm wavelength range is used to investigate processes occurring in the lower chromosphere and in the transition region. This region is characterized by a complex structure of magnetic field and sharp temperature gradients. The phenomena observed reflect processes in the photosphere and convection zone which are bound up closely with energy transportation from the photosphere towards the chromosphere and with heating and maintenance of the solar corona
