Abstract :
The upgrade of the DØ calorimeter system became necessary with the changes in the beam structure of the Tevatron and the introduction of a new tracking system, including a solenoid, in the DØ detector. In order to maintain the excellent performance of the DØ liquid argon calorimeter, preshower detectors were introduced and the electronics is currently being upgraded
