Abstract :
In this paper, a novel broad-band slot antenna fed by CPW is proposed for wideband operation. By introducing annular slot and round corners, 81.5% impedance bandwidth of 10 dB return loss is achieved, and the center frequency is 8.75 GHz. The proposed antenna can provide broad BW for most part of C-band (5.18~8 GHz) and the whole X-band (8~12 GHz) operation. The BW is much wider than other slot antennas. The numerical analysis is performed with the Ansoft high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS), which is based on the finite element method. And the measurement results are conducted to verify this novel antenna by HP8510 vector network analyzer
