Abstract
There may be in great oscillation and degradation in ATM networks due to higher-priori traffic, such as CBR/VBR, multiple-loop delays, measured disturbance and dynamical variants. An adaptive predictive congestion control is presented for multi-node ATM networks, in which real-time rate control is realized by online estimation of networks parameters, and closed-loop stability is guaranteed, and the extent and duration of congestion has been greatly reduced, and the utilization is maximized and packet loss rate is decreased. The effectiveness of the proposed methods is demonstrated by the simulation results
