Abstract :
Most control system of glass manufacture are DCS in which the control arithmetic of fundamental control unit is PID. Because glass-manufacture technique is a complex process, the control effect in PID is not perfect. Model free control method does not depend on mathematics model of controlled system, and it is designed on the basis of idea of function combination. The model free control method was applied in process control of Shenyang Yaohua Glassworks to satisfy the production demand. The feedforward control was also adapted. The successful application proves the excellence performance of the method in process control. The paper shows the feasibility of model free control method applied in those correlative industries. The result indicates that model free control method could be used in complex and difficult control loop instead of PID control
