Abstract
Visual lag was one of important reasons which brought out simulation sickness. The author analyzed and researched the laws of the human head motion, and constructed the stochastic mathematics model which was taken as a 2nd-order Gauss-Markov stochastic process. Based on the Kalman filter, an effective algorithm for head motion prediction was proposed. With little additional calculation the prediction precision is increased by 15 percent compared with former prediction algorithm and visual lag in virtual reality can be effectively reduced
