  • Abstract
    This paper presented an improved frequency-domain MUSIC algorithm for time of arrival (TOA) estimation based on ultra wideband (UWB) pulse. Making use of the property of UWB signal, the estimated accuracy of signal arrival time is improved. For a two-multipath case, the simulation results show that the improved frequency-domain MUSIC algorithm achieves smaller variance of estimation errors than the frequency-domain MUSIC algorithm, and its accuracy is close to the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB)
