Abstract
The transformation of fuzzy consistency comparison matrices and the final ranking method of fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (fuzzy AHP) are studied. The shortcoming of prevalent final ranking methods, often not able to fully address the preferences of decision makers, is discussed, and a new transformation method for consistency fuzzy comparison matrices based on the fuzzy comparison vectors is put forward. Further, by applying the comparison scale of the ideal solution to the fuzzy comparison vectors, an improvement on the final ranking method, based on the decision maker´s ideal solution, is put forward. These make it easier to obtain the fuzzy consistency comparison matrix and the final ranking more desirable. Numerical illustrations at the end of the paper prove our improvement to be effective
