  • Abstract
The case-based reasoning (CBR) method was proposed by combining product function, structure and behavior with technical parameters in product design field. With the co-existing of certainty and uncertainty in design information, a fuzzy similarity degree function was established to process the two kinds of design information above by taking the ordinary real number as special kind of fuzzy number. In case matching, the attribute values of the case were represented into fuzzy numbers, and then the fuzzy similarity degree of each case and the problem to be solved was calculated by using the fuzzy similarity degree function. The fuzzy similarity degree function can also be used in fuzzy recognition. The representation, indexing, organizing and management of case was discussed
