Abstract
Information fusion in the presence of uncertainty is an important and intractable problem. Three types of information with uncertainty are represented with random set and the relations of random set theory with fuzzy logic, Dempster-Shafer evidence theory and conditional event algebra are discussed in this paper. Other applications of random set in information fusion are also reviewed. Finally, the future research directions of random set are pointed out
