Abstract :
This paper presents a novel human body parts segmentation method using Laws texture energy measures with skin color in YCbCr. The proposed segmentation is used in the candidate detection phase of human body part recognition. Therefore, this work can be widely applied to face detection, person layout detection, contents filtering, and privacy protection.
