Abstract
Rural areas in Africa have little access to information technologies because of the enormous cost of investments in telecommunications equipments. The aim of this paper is to design a microwave Full Duplex and full IP system based on WiFi technology in order to transmit data over long distance. This system could serve rural areas. Indeed, the cost of WiFi equipments is very affordable compared to other telecommunications equipments used for transmission over long distance such as optical fiber, WiMAX, VSAT and microwave systems.
