The Exploration on the Establishment and Function of the Regional Public Management Information Center

With the deepening of China´s reform and opening-up policy and the development of public management, regional public management has emerged and is growing as an important new area of social science research in China. Regional public management needs support from information network technology. At present, the informatization of public management has just started so that there are several major problems that restrict the process of public management informatization. The construction of information center, which is known as hardware support platform of public management information system, is one of the key problems demanding prompt solution. Based on the analysis of the contents of the public management informatization and the important role played by information center in the public management informatization, the paper brings forward the compositions, functions and construction principles of information center.
